Facebook Rules

Some of these rules work for both adults and children. You should always have rules regarding internet usage when you have children, a lot of these rules probably go unspoken for adults, but if you're having issues maybe you can nonchalantly leave a copy of the rules where whoever needs to read them will see it.

~Make your facebook page completely private. This means NO ONE who isn't on your approved friends list can see any information other than your name and possibly your picture.
~Only allow people you know IN REAL LIFE to be on your friends list. If someone friend requests you and you don't know who they are then DENY it.
~Don't post pictures on your facebook that you wouldn't show to your Grandmother.
~Keep the language you use while posting on others walls and on your own clean, no one wants to read dirty words or offensive material.
~Never make your facebook status about how much your sister/brother/mom/dad/boyfriend is annoying you right now. Really, do you want the whole world to know that??
~Untag any picture you don't want associated with your name, and don't over tag your friends. You can easily comment on their wall to tell them you posted pictures, and they may tag them if they'd like.
~Your&You're. To, Two&Too.
~Don't publicly fight with boyfriend/husband/sister/brother/great aunt Za Za on facebook. Telephones, email and private messages exist for a reason. Facebook is a great tool, but it doesn't need to replace everything else.
~Don't spend your entire life on facebook (I am really working on this one)!

And for a good laugh (but not if you're easily offended) read this story.
